Q: Why was Blossom Organics Intimate Care Collection created?
A: For over 20 years, Blossom Organics Founder, Melissa Jochim, has successfully developed safe, naturally pure organic skincare products for known and trusted brands. Expanding from her initial focus in skincare, she was shocked to see the lack of authentically natural, female-friendly products in the intimate care market. Although many products claim to be “natural,” “organic” and “safe,” Melissa’s passion drove her to achieve a higher standard through the formulation of Blossom Organics Intimate Care Collection.

In pursuit of healthy well-being, beautiful intimacy and blissful pleasure, Blossom Organics creates safe, naturally pure intimate care products. Melissa’s story resonates with so many mindful women that we at Blossom Organics want everyone to experience the pure pleasure of allowing their sensuality to blossom.

Q: What is the meaning of Blossom?
A: To blossom means to come into flower or bloom. We believe Blossom Organics embodies a woman flourishing in the realization of her own strength and beauty.

Q: What are the benefits of water-based lubricants?
A: A woman’s vagina is a self-regulating system, which produces secretions to cleanse and regulate its environment. Water-based lubricants synergize with a woman’s natural chemistry, are non-occlusive and are easily expelled. All of these factors allow for a healthy vaginal pH. Should the vaginal pH change, weakening natural defense mechanisms, problems such as yeast and bacterial infections can arise.

Q: What are the disadvantages of petroleum-based and silicone-based lubricants?
A: Petroleum & silicone-based lubricants can be occlusive to the vaginal mucous membrane, which can be irritating, drying and can alter a woman’s natural pH. As a mucous membrane, the vagina is also quite absorbent. The petroleum and silicone-based ingredients commonly found in intimate care products can have questionable long-term effects on a woman’s health and well-being. In addition, some petroleum-based ingredients will compromise latex.

A: A woman’s vagina is a self-regulating system, which produces secretions to cleanse and regulate its environment. Normal vaginal pH is 3.8 to 4.5, slightly acidic in nature. Should the vagina’s pH
change, weakening natural defense mechanisms, problems such as yeast and bacterial infections can arise. Blossom Organics formulas are made with naturally pure, female-friendly ingredients and are pH balanced to mimic a woman’s natural chemistry allowing for a healthy, balanced environment.

Q: Is vaginal dryness common? What causes vaginal dryness?
A: Vaginal dryness is common in women of all ages. Most common during menopause, vaginal dryness also affects women in their younger years. Vaginal dryness can be caused by a variety of factors: hormonal changes, menopause, childbirth, medications, cancer therapy, emotional stress and even from harsh ingredients found in common intimate care products.

Q: Are Blossom Organics products safe to use during pregnancy?
A: Blossom Organics is the naturally pure choice and 100% FREE OF HARSH INGREDIENTS: Pure pleasure WITHOUT harsh parabens, petrochemicals, silicones, alcohol, hormones, pesticides, artificial dyes, flavorings or fragrances.

Q: Are Blossom Organics lubricants safe to use while I am trying to become pregnant?
A: Two factors are important when using a lubricant when trying to conceive. The first factor is vaginal pH. The pH during the days of ovulation is drastically less acidic than the normal pH of the vagina. Most lubricants, including Blossom Organics, are too acidic and alter the natural environment of the vagina during the days of ovulation. The second factor is viscosity. Most lubricants thicken the viscosity of the vagina chemistry and can make it harder for sperm to swim. Petroleum and silicone-based ingredients are more likely to inhibit sperm motility than natural water-based ingredients. Blossom Organics lubricants have not been clinically tested for use when trying to conceive.

Q: Are Blossom Organics lubricants latex-friendly and condom compatible?
A: Blossom Organics lubricants are aloe-based and safe to use with natural rubber latex or polyisoprene condoms. Petroleum and oil based lubricants can deteriorate condoms and increase your risk.

peony close upQ: Can I use the Warm Sensation Massage Oil as a lubricant?
A: Our Warm Sensation Massage Oil is not latex-friendly or pH balanced to the vagina. Because we are committed to female-friendly formulas, we do not recommend using it as a lubricant nor is it safe to use with condoms.

Q: Should I expect a flush of redness when using the Pure Pleasure Arousal Gel?
A: Yes. The Pure Pleasure Arousal Gel is formulated with B Vitamins to naturally stimulate blood flow through capillaries and blood vessels. This rush of circulation may cause your skin to flush pink and tingle with the warmth of your blood flow. This is the action desired to increase your level of arousal.

Q: What if I am sensitive to a Blossom Organics product?
A: Every woman’s body is unique.  While we know our natural, organic ingredients are safe, some individuals could experience sensitivity to our products.  If you experience any displeasure, please discontinue use and contact us.
